BCSE launches Finmarket financial marketplace

The official launch of the FinMarket marketplace took place on the BCSE platform today that became a significant event for the financial market.

The project was implemented under the support of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange and the professional community. Its goal is to create a single digital space for interaction between all financial market participants

The ceremony was attended by representatives of regulators, financial organizations, the professional community and the media.

The official part opened with a welcoming speech by Alexander Egorov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. He underlined the strategic importance of Finmarket for developing the national financial infrastructure and simplification of access to financial services for individuals.

“Today we are opening a new page in the development of our country’s financial market. The launch of the Finmarket platform is not just the introduction of a new digital service. This is a step towards the formation of a modern, open and technological infrastructure that will provide citizens with convenient and secure access to financial services,” said Alexander Egorov.

Andrei Aukhimenia, Chairman of the Board of BCSE, presented the functionality of the marketplace. He noted that this year stocks and bonds are available for purchase on the platform. He added also about the prospects for further development of the platform:

“The Finmarket allows citizens to receive high-quality financial products online and open deposit accounts without having to go to a depository or sign contracts physically. This opportunity is especially valuable in regions without depositories. We focus on investments: securities can be held to maturity or indefinitely, which support the National Bank in promoting long–term investments,” said Andrei Aukhimenia.

The ceremony became an important stage in the implementation of the initiative to create a modern, technological and open financial space. Finmarket is already ready to work and is open to users.
