BUCE and ICDX signed memorandum of co-operation

BUCE and ICDX signed memorandum of co-operation

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and Indonesia Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) have signed a memorandum of co-operation on the development of exchange trading between the countries.

As reported by the BUCE press service, the document – signed at the Belarusian-Indonesian Business Forum held today in Jakarta – provides for co-operation between the parties in a number of key areas that meet the interests of Belarus and Indonesia.

BUCE and ICDX, in particular, plan to:

  • jointly explore promising commodity positions for sale on the stock exchange,
  • facilitate the arrival of Indonesian companies on the electronic platform of our exchange,
  • share experiences and consult on the formation of an organised commodity market.

Analytical and marketing materials are also planned to be exchanged.

“The signing of the memorandum is an important step towards building a stable, transparent and mutually beneficial system of cross-border trade between our countries. The consolidation of the efforts of the two exchanges will simplify the entry of Belarusian exporters into the promising Indonesian market and at the same time open up access to potential consumers in Belarus for Indonesian producers. Inter-exchange co-operation is one of the absolute priorities for BUCE, since it is through such partnerships that we form new sales channels, reduce transaction barriers and strengthen trade and economic relations for the long term,” BUCE Chairman aide Aleksandr Bashliy, who represented the exchange at the business forum, said.

For his part, ICDX Director Troydon Patrick Dominic Cyril Miranda focused on the practical nature of co-operation with BUCE, which, in his opinion, will provide favourable conditions for increasing trade between Belarus and Indonesia.

“The value of interaction with the Belarusian stock exchange lies primarily in its practical benefits for the business of the two countries. Our platforms have unique experience and expertise in the field of stock trading, therefore, combining our resources and capabilities will contribute to a more effective solution of tasks relevant to Indonesian and Belarusian companies,” he stressed.

To date, two residents of the Republic of Indonesia have been accredited to participate in BUCE stock trading. The first transaction – the purchase of Belarusian skimmed milk powder and butter for a total of $1.8m – was concluded in June 2026.
