Data from the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is available on the SPX platform

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has begun providing the Saint Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) with data on key exchange-traded commodities for their subsequent transmission through the SPX information and analytical platform.

SPX users now have access to weekly weighted average prices and indices for commodity groups traded on BUCE in the SPIMEX Agricultural Products, Timber and Metals Sections, as well as an archive of this data since 2023.

We are pleased to partner with BUCE and see that the information is in demand both among Russian customers and the international community. We continue to carry out further work on integrating data from exchanges of countries participating in the Cooperation Agreement signed during SPIEF 2024,” emphasized SPIMEX Managing Director Vladlena Rubtsova.

It is important that our interaction was not limited to the signing of a framework cooperation agreement, but immediately moved into practice. This demonstrates the high interest of the parties in the successful implementation of the project to create an inter-exchange indicator system. Our exchange is the primary source of objective and reliable information on the exchange and OTC commodity market of the Republic of Belarus. I am confident that the data we provide will contribute to the further development of the SPX platform and bring real benefits to its customers,” said BUCE Head of Analytics and Prospective Development Vitalii Moshchenko.

SPX is an information and analytical platform that allows customers to receive information from SPIMEX in real time, including indices, extended data on the progress and results of trading, forecast service data, as well as macroeconomic data and statistical indicators from various open resources and partners of the Exchange.

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is the only commodity exchange in the Republic of Belarus and the largest spot exchange in Eastern Europe. It was founded on 25 May 2004. The structure of the exchange includes a universal electronic exchange platform, as well as two platforms for purchases in electronic format and the sale of property and property rights. The main goals of BUCE are the development of electronic exchange trading of commodities, which contributes to strengthening the economic potential of the Republic of Belarus.

The Saint Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) is Russia’s largest commodity exchange offering a wide range of products traded both in its Commodities Section (refined oil products, crude oil, natural gas, LPG, timber and construction materials, fertilizers) and in its Derivatives Section. Over one fourth of the main refined products delivered to the Russian domestic market over the year was traded on Exchange. The Exchange’s key task is to operate a transparent, fair and efficient price formation mechanism for Russian commodities. SPIMEX was founded in 2008. The exchange license and the license for clearing activities are available on the website. The central office of the Exchange is located in Moscow.
