Short historical information
KSE was founded in 1994. The first shares trading and official opening took place in May 1995, when the process of privatization was going on in Kyrgyzstan. At the initial stage of its existence and until 2000, the KSE functioned in the form of a membership non-profit organization with a total membership of 16.
In 2000, the KSE was corporatized, and Istanbul Stock Exchange KSE became one of the largest shareholders and a reliable partner. In 2001 Kazakhstan Stock Exchange became a shareholder of the KSE too.
Currently, KSE is a closed joint-stock company, established on a non-commercial basis and has 18 shareholders.
