BUCE grants accreditation to the first company from Pakistan

Sakafat Forever has become the first Pakistani company accredited by BUCE. The advent of the Pakistani business to the Belarusian commodity market is one of the practical results of close cooperation between BUCE and the Embassy of Pakistan in Belarus that helped arrange the visit of the Pakistani business delegation to BUCE head office in October 2021. The event offered an opportunity to present the potential of cross-border exchange trade to the Pakistani business community and identify the Belarusian and Pakistani commodities that could be traded on BUCE’s electronic marketplace.

According to Mr. Slehria Moeez-Ur-Rehman, Sakafat Forever CEO, his company intends to use BUCE as a tool for both – import of goods from Belarus and export of Pakistani products to the Belarusian market. Apart from that, the Pakistani businessman is also interested in trading with companies from other countries through transit transactions.

We are planning to start our work on BUCE with timber trades. Sawn timber is in great demand in Pakistan and we are very optimistic about organizing regular shipments of Belarusian wooden boards to our country. To achieve this goal, in January 2022 an authorized representative of Sakafat Forever will come to Belarus to get acquainted with the local manufacturers, assess the quality of the Belarusian timber products and discuss logistics. At the same time, we’ll be studying the feasibility of selling Pakistani rice and other agricultural commodities in Belarus. Pakistan is particularly strong in this area and I believe that with BUCE’s assistance we will gain access to a wide range of potential customers. Furthermore, we could use BUCE’s customer base to enter the EU market. However, this is a long-term project as the market of Belarus is our chief priority at the moment”, the head of Sakafat Forever stressed.

There are currently over 27.5 thousand companies accredited on BUCE. Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Ukraine are leaders in terms of the number of businesses operating on the exchange platform, whereas China is the fastest growing market.
